1. We drove up to the Sheraton at the Black rock for the day, found some free beach parking, and rented a small shaded cabana for $30.

2. It is true the beach right in front of the hotel is not swimmable due to the lava rocks, but you can take a short stroll to the beach next door.

6. Yes, there wasn't a beach directly in front of the hotel but we walked 5 mins to the beach to the right where they had some great snorkeling by the rocks - many fish.
