4. The other resorts likely have better amenities, rooms, and restaurants, but the Marriot was a much better fit for us and the price (while more expensive than most reosrts on the island) was much cheaper than the Grand Wailea, Four Seasons, or the Fairmont.

5. OTHER THOUGHTS: If you have never been to Hawaii, dining and groceries are expensive, so be prepared.

8. Each day local vendors come to the hotel and their sale items ranged from affordable to very expensive hand-painted clothes, jewelry, and artwork.
