1. We didn't need a beach access, although there was a beach below the bluffs next to our resort, but it was a steep and wide dirt path.

2. Right to the side of the hotel is a steep, dirt path that does lead to a gorgeous beach though.

3. There is a steep dirt (or muddy when wet) path that extends down about a quarter mile from the Westin to one terminus of Anini Beach where there is very calm water due to a reef about half a mile out.
"Quiet elegance in Princeville " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/24/2011 Vote
4. Without driving miles around the island, the only way to get down is via an extremely steep dirt track.
"Nice resort, but bad location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/23/2011 Vote
5. We parked in a dirt lot not far from the beach and an easy walk for a couple of adults but could be a little cumbersome if you're traveling with young kids.

6. Beach was literally dirt, or seemed like dirt.
"Great resort and room " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/14/2010 Vote
7. It is located on a cliff above a great walking beach (long dirt trail down and back up) I loved how close the princeville strip mall was (small) but the grocery store etc was all good.
"Overall nice resort " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/27/2010 Vote
8. The property is located on cliffs so beach access is down a steep dirt path along a golf course - not to convenient if you are elderly or have trouble with mobility.
"Extremely impressed! " Read full review on Expedia   2/3/2010 Vote
9. The walk to the beach is nothing treacherous but it is down a dirt path.
"Very nice property, we'll be back! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/23/2010 Vote
10. Disliked: In spite of being fairly new and spacious, the room lacked in some small details (lots of scuff marks on the walls, malfunctioning bedside clock, someone's discarded swim trunks half buried in red dirt next to the lanai) that made it feel a bit neglected.
"Good "home base" in a convenient location, but nothing really special " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/31/2009 Vote
