1. I travel quite extensively with my kids and they are often on a sofa bed in the room, but we have never encountered a bed so uncomfortable.

2. In a nutshell: Incredibly uncomfortable mattresses (my back has finally recovered); horrible breakfast buffet (dried, burnt food items were only re-stocked when requested; salt and pepper? Gotta request that); extra fees for beach chairs (oh, please, at $500 bucks a night, just throw in the $15 Target chair.

3. I know sofa beds are often uncomfortable but this one was beyond that - many of the springs were on the ground and the thing really didn't even function as a bed.

The room (2 story bungalow) was nice but felt somewhat uncomfortable to us, perhaps due to the lingering smoke smell, perhaps due to the worn around the edges feel - the glass cabinet with the mini-bar amenities was teetery; the couch had the leather worn off the corners; the floor was stained; the spiral staircase was rickety.
