1. What I didn't like was that noise from other rooms or from the corridor is easily hear in the room, so I am assuming that sound-deading in the wall is poor.

3. The service is so poor it would almost be funny if you didnt have to pay so much for it - a very few members of staff were helpful but the rest let the hotel down very badly.

9. +ve points - actually on the beach (surprisingly hard to find in Waikiki- poolside drinks / food only $5 in happy hour (3-5pm i think)- rooms are pretty good- breakfast at beachfront restaurant was excellent-ve points - pool is in a canyon between two 20 story buildings, meaning sun only hits about half the pool at a time- service at the pool is poor- beach is very narrow and no free chairs providedI don't think this is a bad hotel, but I certainly don't think it is anything like as good as it is currently reviewed as being.

10. Bad points: poor housekeeping - rooms not properly cleaned, unhelpful front desk and bell staff, and the worst is that this hotel faciliates timeshare selling by allowing timeshare desks on its premises whose people hassle guests walking past.
