1. There was very little noise, the room was very nice sized, had a sweet mini-kitchen, and while the plumbing told the age of the building, the bathroom was nicely decored and the shower had hot water any time we needed it.
"Perfect choice for us " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/25/2012 Vote
2. That said, it was Memorial Weekend and the hotel was very busy, so a little noise with people returning from a night out was to be expected.
"Ideal location for the sights of DC " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/10/2010 Vote
3. No noise, very quiet neighborhood.
"great location, great stay " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/9/2009 Vote
4. The building is the weakest link: thin walls which look disgusting in places and let in lots of noise (though the furnishings and decor are quite nice and modern).
"Convenient boutique with comforts " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/16/2009 Vote
5. 1) very strong paint odor in hallways and room, 2) missing iron and ironing board, although the iron holder was there - noticed in the am when went to iron, 3) paint drips on the windows and floors, including paint fingerprints, 4) hair on the bathroom floor, tub, and shower curtain, 5) no cellphone/Blackberry reception in first floor room, 6) the handful of cable channels was news and sports, 7) loud constuction noise from room above past 7 pm and starting again at 7 am, and 8) most distressingly, the ground floor bathroom window had no privacy glass, shades, curtains, etc -- garbage collectors, construction workers, and people parking their cars in the lot next door could see straight in.
"Do not stay here " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/22/2008 Vote
6. Some of the horrors we experienced: the kitchen sink backing up at 1 AM and water flowing onto the carpet; the pocket door to the bathroom not moving at all; unbelievable construction noise that prevented my toddler from napping in the afternoon; the hotel attempting to charge me twice for parking.
"This hotel is a wreck " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/28/2008 Vote
7. There is a little bit of jet noise that you hear in the morning or evening, but that is muffled by the thick drapes on the windows.
"Best Hotel I`ve seen in a long time for its age " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/28/2006 Vote
8. The elevator was making loud grinding noises between the 2nd and 3rd floors but otherwise was quiet as a mouse.

9. The floor above us was squeaky and the hall noise was pretty loud during busy times.
