1. Maybe next time (if there is a next time) I will reconsider staying in a downtown location because parking is such a headache and so expensive.

8. I couldn't avoid bringing a rental vehicle in, which I strongly recommend against, not only because of the gridlock in DC, with taxi drivers often holding up a whole line of traffic to make a left turn where one isn't allowed, but also because the parking can quickly become expensive.
