Molten Brown amenities were lovely and the bed linens, and
towel
s were soft and comfortableWe did have room service once and the food was hot and delivered quickly--not always the case in many hotels.

finally a young white lady (apparently the head of the 7th floor housekeeping) resolved the problem and had extra
towel
s sent up for us (great since we only had 2 anyways!)The hotel needs a complete overhaul to return to its former glory.

When I stay in a 5 star hotel I expect certain things such a slippers with turndown, the ice bucket to be filled, new soap and fresh
towel
s, and bottled water weather it is complementary or not to be replenished.

What is incredible is the instant hot water, great shower pressure, soap, shampoo etc. Nightly turndown and
towel
change flawless as was the maid service.

Agree with the Waldorf comparison -- very old school (which we like) and while none of the furnishings appeared to be brand new, everything was nice enough, and the linen and
towel
s were great.
