1. It is directly across the street from the expansive and lush Boston Public Garden Park and is within walking distance to most historical sites, museums, and shopping.

3. Wallpaper is fraying, marble vanities in bathroom are cracked, plenty of noise from the streets coming through the old window, an ancient thermostat on the wall that's older than me, etc, etc, etc. I found the bed particularly amusing: it's the highest bed I've ever seen.

4. It is directly opposite the common, at the top end of Newbury Street (great for shopping etc).

5. Breakfast is overpriced, but Starbucks is just around the corner, and if you want something more substantial I would recommend Paramount, 44 Charles Street - undeniably the best breakfast in town.

10. i recently stayed at the Taj located on newbury street and loved it!from the moment we pulled up and were greeted by the vallet attendents to the looby staff and maids, the glits and glammer was all over, it cathes your eye.
