1. They do have a safe in the closet that is free of charge and will fit your laptop.

2. I am used to paying about $20 for parking in downtown hotels in other cities and I can tell you there are a bunch of lots in downtown Austin that will charge you $20 to park there on Friday or Saturday nights.
