1. The valet is $35 a day, which is a little pricey but it is quite convenient to not have to deal with street parking or walk to the nearby parking garage with our massive amount of luggage and dog bags.

7. Getting street parking in the city at night is definitely a challenge -- you have to find a block that 'feels' a bit more secure, then allow yourself 15-30 minutes to circle around and around until you find a spot, making sure to pay attention to the street signs so you don't park on a street where parking is prohibited the next day (supposedly for street cleaning) and then you have to get to the car before the meter readers start working (we were out and about by 8:30 AM and they don't work on major holidays, so that wasn't an issue for us).
