1. We were very happy to dine at the hotel's Italian restaurant and there isa great Lobby Cafe/Bar which served a light breakfast and Happy Hour on weeknights withdelicious tasty bites.

4. It was right in Union Square so the shopping was great, it was only about 3 blocks from the BART municipal transit station, and there were more than enough restuarants and bars within walking distance.

We would definitely recommend the Villa Florence - the lobby is beautiful - there is WiFi for guests, rooms are nice, we had no view, but we didn't spend much time sitting in the room anyway - we loved the cocktail lounge/bar in the lobby for an afternoon pizza snack, a Moretti - or the wonderful Moscati ;) Great location too.
