2. Having stayed in suites at several NYC hotels (incl the Lucerne, On the Ave, and Excelsior), I can say that the Wales suites are comparatively the best of the bunch.

5. the Wales Hotel is a bit older,but everthing is in order,spottless clean rooms,very friendly staff,(from Bellman to Frontdesk)for this location reasonable-take the suite with the extra sitting area-Thursdays to Sunday you can enjoy(Summer)the Rooftop Bar for Sunset and romantic moments-wishing to have a place in one of the best locations in the world-and for Dinner you go just arround the corner to PAOLA,S- one of the best iatalien Restaurant in town.
