1. The small, canopied entrance on Madison Avenue signalled no pretensions but the welcoming staff, nicely appointed room with fresh and stylishly designed bath exuded comfort and security right away.

3. This hotel surpassed every need we had: we were given an upgrade upon check-in into a lovely, high ceilinged, wood trimmed suite, huge king with soft linens with superb air conditioning, tv, sunny and clean bath/shower.
