1. I thought Hotel Wales was a charming little hotel with very friendly front of staff and in a great location close to fabulous restaurants (particularly useful as there isn't room service to speak of - they will get food from restaurant next door).

2. Sarabeth's kitchen, which is a well known brunch institution in NY provides the room service as well as the breakfast for the hotel.

4. I also had a bit of an issue with getting my room serviced, I was in it when housekeeping was working, then I went out, came back, and the timing was off I suppose.
