1. Also Century 21 store (by world trade centre site) is great too (downtown Yellow line exit Courtland St) Disney Shop (5th ave) and Times Sq toys`R`us are brilliant for the child in us all.

3. The subway is literally on the corner to take you downtown to Spring street - for the aussies.

Much has been said about the good location and it is yards from Herald Sq subway station that will take you easily Uptown for museums,Central Park etc or Downtown for lower Manhatten A few yards beyond the subway is Macys and of course a block away, with superb view from Hotel Metro rooftop, is the Empire State Building.
