1. If you fancy a late dinner but don't want to go too far from the hotel I cannot recommend Brendan's across the street highly enough.

5. After a long day sightseeing and a fab dinner it is wonderful to grab a free coffee from the lounge and head up to the roof terrace to see NYC by night.

6. We stayed with friends on the outskirts of NY for the rest of our stay but wanted an evening in Manhattan to have dinner etc. Other friends stayed in another `top` hotel and payed at least double the price for what was only used as a `bed for the night`.

7. there are loads of restarants and cafe in close proximity, would love to recomend a pub/restarant, called heartland brewery, its right under the empire state building, portions are huge, service was fantastic and was our nicest meal of the trip, for a meal with a bit of fun, check out ellens stardust dinner.
