It was really cool how the
street
came to life with florists and associated vendors during the day.

Traffic on this
street
(like all of NYC) is horrible and we could hear sirens and car horns around the clock.

The
street
looks its best in the morning when the flower shops have displays on the pavement but it felt safe at night too and we were happy to walk back to the hotel at night (There are some nice bars over the
street
on 8th avenue!).

Advice - to call taxi/ cab on the main
street
rather than expect one outside the hotel as it was a 'quieter'
street
of new york.

Although not a residential
street
, it does not feel like midtown.
