1. The young man was right there looking up addresses and finding out if rooftop bars were open etc.Our only slight glitch with service occurred with housekeeping.

2. There were some good places to eat nearby including Fresh and co a noodle bar and a good Italian called Il barista ( eat in the bar next door- same food but cheaper!) we stayed here for 4 nights on Hilton points and we would definitely stay here again.

3. The street looks its best in the morning when the flower shops have displays on the pavement but it felt safe at night too and we were happy to walk back to the hotel at night (There are some nice bars over the street on 8th avenue!).

5. Added attraction - the bar staff were very attentive and accommodating - they knew we had young kids and gave them free drinks and snacks to keep them happy when they plied us with cocktails - great nightcap.

8. While not quite a 'gem,' it has very good features like a boutique hotel; narrow property footprint, personal-sized lobby, only 8 rooms to a floor, cozy first floor restaurant/bar.
