1. the beach was one of the best on the island, the pool was clean and just the right size (never too crowded, either), the lobby was stylish and felt hip and the courtyard with the fire pits and torches was inviting and made you feel like you were in Hawaii!;) We stayed in a partial-ocean view room.

4. Turn town the damn tv in the lobby at 4 in the morning adjacent to the free computers--the Hawaiian music wafting overhead is plenty.

5. The old lobby and public space had an old Hawaii feel to the area is gone, With the exception of Aloha shirt print carpeting and limited upolstery, a big painting behind the check-in desk, and a chandelier with a Polynesian theme, the modern touches are SO TACKY.
