1. the hotels strenghths are its friendly helpful staff ,its great location ,the pool and deck and the fact you get free sunbeds on south beach- weaknesses -it can be noisy ,it needs a good clean ,we had a cockroach in our room ,but mostly it needs a refit- carpets are stained and threadbear in public areas and bedrooms.

3. The pool area is lovely, very clean, towels provided etc, and there is an amazing sea view, the only small niggle was that the decking area is down wind of the kitchen exhaust chimney from a resturant on the front (The News Cafe - worth a visit) and there is a smell of fried food when the wind is coming on to the shore, but we were happy to go to the beach (only a 2 minute walk & the free sun loungers and umbrella provided by the hotel are a nice touch).

4. The pool and pool deck are great, but towels had to be returned at 5pm and there is plenty of sun after 5.

5. Stayed for anniversary weekend, one of the biggest draws for The Hotel would have to be both the pool scene on the top deck (great drinks try the blended mojito, however go early since it is hard to find a chair after 10:30am on the weekend) as well as use of the beach chairs w/ umbrella, note that after 5pm you cannot use the beach chairs as it closes.

7. After settling we enjoyed the rest of the afternoon on the roof deck by the pool sipping frozen Mojitos (every drink we ordered was made perfectly).

8. Not only were we upgraded upon arrival by Nara, but she also managed to get us free breakfasts for the duration of our stay at the roof deck pool.
