1. We loved staying at The Hotel - location is ideal (steps from Ocean and the beach, yet quiet and almost secluded, due to layout), rooftop pool is amazing, and staff (from check-in to doorman to concierge to cleaning) are simply excellent.

4. Starting with the staff, which was very friendly and acommodating (allowing us to do a very early check in and a late check out given our flight times), not to mention thoughtful (nice touch by being welcomed with a fruit platter and a bottle of wine for being my birthday).

6. The staff REALLY set this hotel above the rest--reception (check in/check out) was an uncomplicated breeze, the conceierge was helpful, the bellman seemed like someone I could be friends with and the pool-side bartender was the perfect blend of low-key attentiveness.
