1. We enjoyed the quiet, watched the waves roll in, explored the hotel's beautiful grounds, borrowed bikes and rode to the beach, enjoyed meals in the exceptional restaurant, perused the offerings at the art gallery, and indulged in a spa treatment.

2. Ka'uiki and the Paniolo Lounge are obviously awesome, but we also very much enjoyed the Hana Ranch Restaurant -- a bit more casual and also very delicious.

3. Despite that, the hotel, the spa, the pool, the grounds, and the restaurant/cafe were all quite nice although also quite pricey.

Many of the hotel activities were complementary including a 3 mile shuttle service to the adjacent Hamoa Beach, hula dance lessons, lei making etc. On the first night we had dinner at the hotel restaurant - magnificently delicious, a high quality dining experience and contrary to previous reviews - service was PERFECT, prompt and courteous.

6. We had breakfast included with our room and the food in the restaurant was very good, service was slow on valentine's day but thats to be expected, service the day before was very quick.

8. The restaurant asked us to be quiet, just a fun group of 8 who spent over $1000 on dinner, we can be as loud as we want, spending $600 a night each on 5 rooms, and $1000 meals.
