Note to Starwood - if you're going to raise your
rate
s, best not to reduce the quality of your service at the same time.

If you expect nice rooms, attentive staff or good food for a room
rate
of $375 (+several extra charges like a $20 per day 'resort charge', etc.) per night.

We had the included buffet breakfast in our
rate
which is good for about 2 or 3 mornings but the food was repetitive after that.

We had one great experience with check-in, which was followed by conflicting reports of what we were told about billing, our
rate
, and a generally crappy attitude from the front desk.

I'd
rate
Wailea Maui beach as far superior as there is much less wind, no sharp rocks in the water, and it gets deeper quicker than in Waikiki.

The hotel is really done beautifully and received a discounted
rate
being a starwood member which we didn't realize we would get when we booked the 3 nights.

The Outrigger chain has hotels on the beach that appear just as nice but offer rooms at better
rate

rate
if you can get it).
