1. Note to Starwood - if you're going to raise your rates, best not to reduce the quality of your service at the same time.

8. I'd rate Wailea Maui beach as far superior as there is much less wind, no sharp rocks in the water, and it gets deeper quicker than in Waikiki.

10. The Outrigger chain has hotels on the beach that appear just as nice but offer rooms at better rates (the AAA rate if you can get it).
