1. This hotel values saving a few cents on the energy bill much more than making the customer happy.
"Terrible hotel avoid at all costs " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/31/2012 Vote
2. The worst part is the hotel has an energy management system on the air conditioning and no matter what you set the thermostat on, they override your setting and put it on their settings to minimize their energy bill, not your comfort.

3. The wifi was immediately accepted and billed to my room - though then only worked intermittently.

4. Also, some of the other amenities in the Al'li tower didn't live up to its luxury billing -- the robes were cheap, thin, Hawaiian-print fabric; the personal care products were the same ones you'd find at any Hilton and included no additional products (such as mouthwash or body wash, as you often find on the concierge floor of a regular Hilton).

9. Just got back from 3 weeks in the states of which 7 nights were at this hotel , upon arrival got upgraded from the Diamond tower to the ali tower free of charge which was very good , The biggest issue was the construction work going on directly below the pool at the ali tower and this could be heard all over the resort and it will be going on well into 2009 so beware if you like peace and quiet you will not get it here , I agree with others ref cost of food and drinks it was very pricey but in true British style we found the harbour pub just past the lagoon and this place was cheap , we spent a full afternoon in it with plenty food and drinks and the bill was 40 dollars , Also note in the ali tower you get free snacks between 17:00 hrs and 19:00 hrs which were nice , this hotel does have a very good beachfront location just remember the building work .
"noisy time " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/24/2008 Vote
10. The next day we went to go have breakfast at the hotel buffet as we were to tired from our flight to venture out; breakfast bill for 2 was $69.00 My husband gasped and I consoled him, ' We are on vacation don't worry we will skip lunch, as I rolled muffins in my napkin for later.
"Go to Maui instead! Better Beaches, less crowded " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/24/2012 Vote
