Concierge was pleasant, even when we told him we wouldnt park at the hotel because of the cost (tip: park directly across the
street
, to the east, in a secure garage for $18 per day versus $38 per day at the hotel!) Well-appointed rooms.

As a starwood member, I would recommend the Westin down the
street
if you can afford the slight difference.

The garage just across the
street
is cheaper and is only $5 for a weekend 24 hour period.

)Location - It is an easy walk to the downtown Walnut shopping row, but very far from the main tourist area (the Historic Area) and even further from Old City, South
Street
, and other hot spots like that.

We went to Loews for drinks one night and that hotel is gorgeous (and right across the
street
from a wonderful market).

I`d recommend staying closer to Chestnut
street
, which is more lively with restaurants or stay close to the Reading Market Terminal area.
