6. I reserved this hotel with a great rate of $71/nite (tax incl), and knowing beforehand it was a Days Inn, I wasn't expecting too much since they are pretty much known to be basic budget motels.

7. That charge is outrageous, even with the moderate room rate that was reasonable for a decent, commercial-grade hotel in DC, which is generally overpriced anyway (restaurants and hotels, but the museums on the Mall are bargains and must-sees).
