1. There's a great Italian restaurant and bar on one side and a Burger King on the other so take your pick.

3. The store has a great deli and salad bar and I had a nice lunch one afternoon sitting outisde the store people watching at the Van Ness metro stop.

4. Not much in the immediate area for drinks except for the Italian Restaurant next door (while the bar was good and plenty of fun, variety would be better)It is a longer subway ride to downtown.

8. Next to the metro stop you can have a hearty and cheap breakfast at Epicurean, a really bizarre restaurant/sushi bar/lounge/disco depending on the time of the day.

10. Rumor had it from some of the group I was traveling with who were in the back of the hotel, that it was somewhat akin to a jail cell, but it didn't have bars on the windows.
