1. Countless restaurants nearby, a happening area, nice streets for walking, right beside Metro and bus stops.

2. Across the circle is a 24 hour CVS, and it's right down the street from the Metro (which also goes straight to Union station - very convenient), but we found ourselves walking almost the entire time.

8. My room was not large, but its appointments made it feel intimately restful and refreshing: kind of a cool, little, secret escape from the noise and energy of the streets below.
"A Port In The Storm " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/12/2009 Vote
9. The neighborhood is young and trendy area with tons of dining choices at all budget levels, there is a great bookstore across the street, the Dupont Circle subway is a 2-minute walk, and the rooms are sophisticated and modern with none of the standard hotel blandness.
"The Dupont, a sophisticated hotel at a resonable price " Read full review on Expedia   8/25/2009 Vote
10. So we drove to the attractions and found free street parking for 3 hour stretches near the monuments on all but one day, when we visited The Capitol and parked underground ( $20 per day ,11 pm closing).
