1. The valet parking was $32 + taxes which we were happy to pay for re parking in a city.

4. So we drove to the attractions and found free street parking for 3 hour stretches near the monuments on all but one day, when we visited The Capitol and parked underground ( $20 per day ,11 pm closing).

6. The website states valet parking is recommended (sure, at $35 a night!) but on a weekend there was ample parking (for free) on the same street.

7. It's no biggie but we saw some free street parking for the weekend if people are willing to walk a bit or just find a garage near by which probably costs less than 20 dollars a day for the weekend.
