4. We obtained excellent rates through *Destination DC* when we purchased a package that included two tickets to the Spy Museum (which we loved) and two boarding passes for the Old Town Trolley Tour which provided all day access, all over town, on and off boarding until 5:30 p.m. for one price.

Three weeks after booking, we found the rates were slashed a lot more (perhaps due to Hurrican Irene), and it was a cinch to cancel the original hotel reservation and rebook via Arestravel (by phone), and they didn't charge any cancellation/change fee because we rebooked immediately through them.
