4. There is a Safeway close to the hotel and the hotel offers a shopping service at no charge but we wanted to go and pick out our own junk food.

5. We had booked a studio suite and asked for an early check-in, when we arrived (early, around 11AM), the suite was not ready, so they offered us a one bedroom suite, at no extra charge.

Three weeks after booking, we found the rates were slashed a lot more (perhaps due to Hurrican Irene), and it was a cinch to cancel the original hotel reservation and rebook via Arestravel (by phone), and they didn't charge any cancellation/change fee because we rebooked immediately through them.
