1. And then of course I was charged a no show fee for not showing up for my reservation that the hotel said was cancelled and then gave me a new reservation for.

Three weeks after booking, we found the rates were slashed a lot more (perhaps due to Hurrican Irene), and it was a cinch to cancel the original hotel reservation and rebook via Arestravel (by phone), and they didn't charge any cancellation/change fee because we rebooked immediately through them.

5. The only negative thing about this hotel is that there is a $30.00 a night fee to park your car, but I think this is the going rate for Washington and not much you can do about that.
