1. And speaking of costs, for as nice as the hotel is and the great locale, the price cannot be beat.

3. The buffet breakfast served every morning was plentiful and a great start to our day of sight-seeing and the small dinner served Mon- Wed was very good and helped reduce the cost of dining on our trip, which can be very expensive in the city.

5. Not many restaurants in the vicinity but the metro station is close by and we were impressed by the convenience, cleanliness and cost (great alliteration or what?) of DC`s metro system - but easy walking distance of the Capitol and the Smithsonians.

6. We appreciated the hotel gift shop and the lovely ride in the hotel-provided Lincoln when we were leaving--elegant, air conditioned, clean, and the same cost as a taxi.

10. When we inquired if any hotel staff would like the turkey, they instead generously upgrade us to a 2 bedroom suite with an oven, at no extra cost.
