3. The hotel is being refurbed a bit at the mo so there was a bit of noise but there is currently a workers strike going on so from 7am - 5pm, there were about 10 people outside the hotel on megaphones which was really loud and pretty intimidating to walk into and out of as they were very abusive to people going into the hotel.

4. Yes, the protesters were annoying, but we learned a trick our second morning--turn on the window fan unit and it drowns out all outside noise.

6. However, there is no sound proofing at all and the noise from the street below, even from the 6th floor, was intolerable.

7. On the negative side:- Significant noise transfer through room walls, especially through the closed connecting doors of adjacent suites.

10. I LOVE the window a/c unit because I can control the temp and I need the white noise to sleep, which came in handy to block out the bullhorns of the union picketers on the ground floor.
