3. Even that would be OK but for a Luxury Collection hotel I didn't expect to see stains on the furniture, chips in the paint around the room, marks on the walls, etc. The beds were comfortable and the shower pressure was great.

4. A 5* hotel shouldn't have cracked sinks (both our room & our friends, and a cracked shower tile & slightly dirty grout (it's a pet peeve of mine).

For quick bites, it is an easy walk to good eats and treats/weekend markets at the Ferry Building (Slanted Door, Delica, Miette) and also at Westfield Center (Bristol Market, The Straits, Out the Door, Beard Papa) and to Union Square (Macys, Saks, Neiman Marcus, etc.)Room: High ceilings, well-services, wonderful bedding (ultra soft linens), in room safe, small refrigerator that is stocked with complimentary water daily and room for your own snacks, Gilchrest & Soames toiletries, good shower water pressure and hot water is hot.
