1. Another plus was the free Internet (wired and wireless), the turn down service with robes and slippers and LaCroix chocolates, and the generously sized tubes of Aromatherapy toiletteries.
"Rittenhouse Hotel is NOT average, but excellent service is being diminished by room conditions " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/7/2012 Vote
2. After returning home from a one night getaway in this hotel (to visit the fantastic Van Gogh Up Close exhibition in the Art Museum) I am now reevaluating hotel rates in general - what is it exactly we are paying for when we are booking hotel accommodations: the room/suite itself, the service, the location, the view? How do I rate the hotel in general if all the listed factors vary greatly from each other? We have had a similar experience before, also in Philadelphia.

4. Very nice rooms (better than the Four Seasons), superb staff and service and a number of little thoughtful touches that make this the best room in town at prices that generally are lower than the Four Seasons.

7. The first room we were assigned featured peeling wallpaper, water damage, and a generally poor feng shui that made the room feel like an over-glorified under-renovated Marriott decorated by Bombay Company.
"Tired grand dame with great service " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/9/2012 Vote
8. This hotel is really beautiful - the nicest we have ever stayed in, and we generally stay in very nice hotels.

9. I've found the room very beautiful, not a modern style still not ancient, furniture seemes quite new, and generally speaking the room was very large for a big city standard, so was the bathroom.
"Classy choice in Philly " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/8/2011 Vote
10. A man showed up in the room ready to set up the sofa (?)We experienced turndown service at 8 PM during the second night, even when I have requested at 6:30 PM with the front desk female employeeFurniture in the room was scratched or damaged like the coffee table in the bedroomI had a massage during my first stay and it was great I had a massage during my second stay and with another employee it was not really goodAs I explained to the general Manager and tthe front desk staff Priscila, I expect the same service during every stay The response was very limitedI expect more from a five diamond award hotel.
