1. Late checkout is always cheerfully granted, the platinum amenities are great, the room I've booked has always been upgraded, the valet service is unbelievably fast considering the large volume they have to deal with, and the location of this hotel is unbelievably convenient.

6. If you're only looking for a hotel that is conveniently located about halfway between the French Quarter and the Garden District, and next door to the casino, then this W in New Orleans is for you.

7. Personally, I think staying a little closer to Canal would have been more convenient, but the W on Poydras is still a only a short walk from the Quarter, or a $10-15 cab ride, which will take almost as long as walking.
