1. To be expected, given the location in downtown LA, but still a bit noisier than we like.
2. But with a hotel like this, you can't do too much renovation, so the rooms are a little older, and the lobby is a little cavernous.
3. They treated us like we couldn't afford to pay our bill (it couldn't possibly be their fault right?), it was all resolved very simply once we talked with our bank, and got a different desk worker who knew what she was doing.
4. I guess first of all, the fact that I do NOT like LA being from NY, may have not helped in my initial expectations of this Westin Hotel.
5. Live, I would likely return to the Bonaventure, unless there is a special deal at one of the competing properties.
6. I asked if I could add a night at the discounted price, and was told they couldn't sell rooms at that price, but the guy at the front desk looked in his computer to see their occupancy for the desired night, and more or less indicated that if I went on that reseller website again, I would likely be able to add the third night at the same reduced rate (when I went up to my room, I was able to do this and add it on).

7. There were other things that alone would be considered minor, like the sign at check in informing guests the pool is being renovated until late April, so if you want to use a pool, you can walk across the street to the Marriott and use theirs.
8. There is an adequate selection of restaurants near by, like the Borders grill opposite, Engine co a 3 block walk away.
9. like others have mentioned, it has a huge circular entrance lobby, with different coloured elevators to take you to the different towers.
10. Lobby is well done, great feel, and frankly with the age of the hotel it seems like they really did a nice job with the remodelHousekeeping and Front Desk were very friendly and sharp.
