Upon arriving we were greeted ever so friendly by the front desk staff (Rachel and Jamie) who upon my speaking said, I know who you are,
happy
birthday, we've upgraded you for free to a Junior suite, (what? wow.

Everyone from the doorman to the front desk staff made it a point to make sure we were
happy
and accommodated our every request, even delivering a Sunday newspaper to our room at 9pm free of charge.

I was here on a business trip in the dead of winter and was
happy
to find that I could hop on a train a block away and skip out on long walks in the cold, there are a ton of great restaurants nearby (atlantic fish- nearly across the street) I could stay close to the hotel if need be and the pub in the hotel offers a decent dinner menu (standard pub fare) if you want to skip braving the outdoors altogether or if you just want to grab some wine and hang out in your room there is a grocery right down the street with a pretty notable selection.

Also, while they inexplicably do not provide a water boiler or coffee maker for tea/coffee in the rooms, they are
happy
to deliver tea, coffee, or boiling water to your room at any time of day or night.

This was true throughout my stay, from the excellent bartender (who recommended the superb 18 year old Glenmorangie) to the housekeepers who were
happy
to makeup and clean the room on my somewhat unusual schedule.
