2. We did have a fireplace in our room (as also mentioned in other reviews), with a big sign that said inoperable, oh well, it looked cozy.

9. Solas, the Irish pub on the ground floor of the Lenox was cozy, but not particularly impressive as far as Irish-style pubs go - if you want real Irish ambience in Boston, I heartily suggest getting on the subway to Haymarket and make the walk through Quincy Market to The Black Rose.
