1. We took taxi's a lot since we had a 1 year old with us and it was generally only $10-15 to get anywhere, so with 4 people and a baby, it worked out well.

3. Hotels in DC,in general, are expensive at any time of year so look around at the rates at other nearby hotels to see what they charge and if you can make a deal to get the best available rate.

6. The other reviews of this hotel have pretty much been on target; the hotel has some bizarre architecture, but is generally comfortable with very nice staff.
