1. We got a room with the view over california street - wonderfull skylight but still quiet.

Perhaps we got off to a bad start as despite being a member of their loyalty program and entitled to a room upgrade and my only request being for a quiet room we were put in a room on a low floor on the busy street side - we had a terrible night with the noise - it was almost as if the window was open.

3. If you need a '4 star' hotel with a good quiet location in San Francisco you should definitely consider the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway.

6. Even though our standard room was on the twelth floor we could still hear the traffic on the street below, constant police sirens, middle of night refuse collection etc, apart from this we found the hotel to be nice and quiet.
