1. Perhaps we got off to a bad start as despite being a member of their loyalty program and entitled to a room upgrade and my only request being for a quiet room we were put in a room on a low floor on the busy street side - we had a terrible night with the noise - it was almost as if the window was open.

2. Yes there is noise on Van Ness, but, rooms are nice,staff friendly and cordial,1 block from California Street cable car terminus, and many good local restaurants 1 block away on Polk Street.
