1. There are plenty of places around the hotel to get breakfast - we really enjoyed the Brooklyn Diner.

3. Best of all, though, this is a neighborhood: there are plenty of visitors in the streets, of course, but most of the skyscrapers are full of residents, people who walk their dogs, get a bagel at the deli, and so forth.
