1. There's nowhere quite as convenient if you have tickets to the Met or other concert venues at the Lincoln Centre.

8. It is very convenient to the subway and uptown/downtown buses, and the hotel has a great little restaurant right next door (Ed's Chowder House).

Yes, the shower with one door is still strange, yes the standard rooms are very small, and yes you have to pay for WiFi but the convenient and lovely city location, fun over-the-top retro art-deco(?) design, Starbucks just steps one way and PJ Clarks the other way, this is a great choice for families, couples, and business.
