Good points were the swimming pool area - clean and pleasant, with plenty of shade, the comparative nearness of the beach and boardwalk (about 300-400 yards), the nearby very reasonable and good car hire firm, Signature Rent-a-Car, the reasonably priced internet access and the good bus-stops very near at hand.

3. There are plenty of hotels in Miami Beach that offer modern features, and nauseatingly obsequious service if those things are important to you, so feel free to go to one of those instead.

5. Parking seemed plentiful (metered) but we weren't driving so we didn't really take notice.

6. It's about 20 mins walk to the main South Beach/Ocean Drive area, but plenty of buses stop just next to the hotel to take you up there for $2 per person (have the correct change as they don't have any on the bus), or you can splash out on a taxi for around 10 dollars.
