8. There are plenty of hotels in Miami Beach that offer modern features, and nauseatingly obsequious service if those things are important to you, so feel free to go to one of those instead.

9. All parking is metered, and while free from 6pm until 8am 7 days a week, you will need to hoist yourself out of bed before 8am to plug the meter in the morning if you don't want to run the risk of getting a parking ticket (One quarter buys you 30 minutes of meter time, bring change or get some in the hotel lobby).
