3. It's right in the Coconut Marketplace, literally 400 ft away, so you are next to everything you need (tip: eat at TC's, it's a burger and sandwich joint in the Marketplace, it's exceptional and cheap).

5. After the long 11 hour flight from Australia via Honolulu and at check in( which was very friendly), I was given the opportunity to upgrade to a room with a view garden or ocean at a price of course - however because I knew I was hardly going to be there (I was out except sleeping) I was happy to stick with a standard room.

6. We found we had to drive almost everywhere--the exception was a meal or two @ the outdoor mall next door (the pizza place was very good--get your crust brushed with garlic butter).

7. Each building has one ice machine which was fine except if you wanted to put ice in a small cooler befor 8:00AM, they lock up most of the machines at night.

8. Facing the Kauai eastern shore the view is specacular, however swimming would be hazardous except on the calmest days.
