5. Yes it's cheap and yes the location is convenient and yes it has a nice pool and it's near the beach but it's beyond acceptably dirty and the bug thing really killed the deal.

If you're not looking for much more than a clean and convenient place to sleep (and with so many beautiful places to see in Kaua'i, it's all you need), Kauai Sands and its location can't be beat for the price (which you should shop around - we found that price varied widely on different booking sites).
